The 2007 Holden Caprice
The Bitter Vero was presented to the press and the Bitter enthusiasts community in October 2007.
Technical base for the Bitter Vero is the Australian Holden Statesman. This full-size rear-wheel drive luxury sedan as well as it's sibling the Holden Caprice is built in both right-hand drive and left-hand drive configurations and as such offers a perfect base for Erich Bitter's new luxury four door sedan.
The donor cars are shipped from Holden to Germany and are converted to Bitters somewhere near Cologne. The carbon body panels are produced by a famous car tuning company mainly working with Porsches and the interiors are produced by Dagro who also produces interior parts for Audi, Lamborghini and Volkswagen.
Several technical modifications were necessary to make the car meet the highest European standards. From the outside the car differs from the original with a new bonnet, a new grille, new headlights and new bumpers at the front and the back. Half leather interior is standard but the car can optionally be trimmed with a special full leather interior with Alcantara headliner.
In 2009 new motorisations became available for the Bitter Vero, i.e. V8 6.0L 365 BHP and V8 6.0L with compressor 550 BHP. The compressor engine is part of a Walkinshaw Performance high-power package which also incudes updated brakes.
Launch price in Germany was 102.500 EUR excl. VAT. In 2008 the price was lowered to 87.000 EUR excl. VAT. The high-power package will add an additional 20.500 EUR excl. VAT to your bill.
