The "Insignia A by Bitter" was presented with a 260 BHP 2.8 litre V6 turbocharged engine but all other motorisations from the Opel Insignia were also possible ranging from the modest 2.0 litre diesel engine and 1.6 litre petrol engine to the mighty OPC engine.

In January 2012 on the Vienna Auto Show the top incarnation of the "Insignia A by Bitter" was presented. The all black car with the 325 BHP 2.8 litre V6 turbocharged OPC engine was soon nicknamed Black Widow II referring to the legendary Schwarze Witwe from Erich Bitter's successful racing career.
